Enantioselective Catalysis


Chiral Templating of Achiral Surfaces

There is significant interest in developing enantioselective catalysts for the production of enantiopure chemical goods.  One promising route is to adsorb a chiral molecule which then acts as a template or guide for enantioselective catalysis.  Using UHV surface science techniques, we aim to develop an understanding of the intermolecular interactions guiding the selective production of desired enantiomeric products over chiral templated catalysts.
